Healing:  An interview with Alan and Andrea Grieveson.

1. I understand the type of healing you do is different from what could be called the

standard techniques?

Alan: What is the standard technique? There are many different forms of healing, but they all try

to achieve a result that is beneficial to the subject.

The healing that is done through me is what we call sound healing. It is not done by

playing music, but whilst I am in trance. The spirit healers that use my physical body to

carry out the healing, were apparently, itinerant healers when incarnate.

They were trained from the age of 5 years in a 'school of healing'. After passing many tests

at the end of their learning, they set off to travel wherever communities needed healers.

They also acted as shamen, holding community meetings to help sort out any problems

that had arisen. They carried all they possessed in a bag and that was their life.

They are not ‘hands-on’ healers, they generate sounds that have a wide range of notes

and cause in most people a variety of sensations.

2. How do you think the healing works?

Alan: We believe that the physical body has what you could call an ‘energy field’, that is specific

to that body. The ‘Spirit’ on the other hand has a different ‘energy field’, and, for the

incarnation of the individual to work successfully there has to be harmony between the

two. We believe that a lot of ailments are due to disharmony between these differing energy

fields.

What the healers try and do when performing healing is to reharmonise the energies. This

will not however last long if the subject does not remove the cause, this is usually to my

mind an attitude or habit pattern that needs changing.

For example someone who is very fixed in their attitude may develop arthritis or

rheumatics, or someone who will never listen to anyone or anything, may develop hearing

problems. The longer they persist in their attitude the harder the problem is to remove.

3. What about someone born with a medical condition?

Alan: this can be a bit of an emotive  issue, especially since a football coach or manager lost

his job by making a comment on this point. However I(Alan) think he was somewhere close

to having a valid point. In my mind when a foetus is developing, the ‘Spirit’ may well start to

take an interest in its new ‘host’. If the ‘Spirit’ has strong energies. It possible that it can affect

the very delicate balance of the energies, hormones, chemical reactions call them what you

will, of that foetus. This could in due course produce some disability.

According to our belief on this, the ‘Spirit’ that is faced with this must learn to become less

aggressive or strong. It also has to learn to achieve what it can within the limitations of the

body. Unfortunately some people take this personally, but that is a problem for them to

over come. There are very few human physical bodies that are perfect.

Of course many people in this situation do extremely well and can achieve much more

than some of their more able counterparts. Sadly there are others that do not, and it is

possible that if they tried to be more independent - doing as much as possible for

themselves without bitterness, life would really improve for them. After all, in this

technological world there are many opportunities they can get involved with.. Karma

effectively says you get out of life in proportion to what you put in.

4. So the healing is done whilst Alan is in trance?

Andrea: Yes that is so.
